In terms of POPIA Section 20 and Section 21, we may share your personal information with trusted data partners to enable us to deliver and support our services. These partners may include:

  • IT support, cybersecurity, and risk assessment vendors

We ensure that these partners are subject to strict contractual obligations to handle your information in compliance with POPIA.

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Where necessary, we may transfer your personal information to third parties located outside South Africa. In such cases, we ensure that:

  • The country has adequate data protection laws, or
  • The recipient is contractually bound to protect the data at a level comparable to POPIA (Section 72)

7. Retention of Personal Information

In accordance with POPIA Section 14, your personal information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Thereafter, it will be securely destroyed or de-identified.

8. Your Rights Under POPIA

As a data subject, you have the following rights as set out in POPIA Chapter 8:

  • Right to access your personal information (Section 23)
  • Right to correct, update, or delete inaccurate or outdated information (Section 24)
  • Right to object to the processing of your data (Section 11(3))
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time (Section 11(2)(b))
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (Section 74)
